Philips Electric Shaver

Philips electric shavers are fantastic shavers that deliver some of the closest shaves out there. But before you buy an electric shaver, there are a few salient points you should consider that will help you choose the best one.

Now, it’s important to first figure out how much money you have to work with when buying a new electric shaver. Electric shavers can range from twenty dollars to three hundred dollars, so there is a wide variety of different options to choose from. However, keep in mind that if you want to buy an electric shaver, you are going to get what you pay for.

What does this mean? If you buy a cheap Philips electric shaver model that’s 30 bucks, it won’t deliver nearly the same quality shave as an electric shaver that costs 200 bucks.  Now Philips has a good reputation for being one of the better electric shaver brands, but there is still a pretty big difference in what you are going to get if you buy their budget option versus their more expensive options.

Now any electric shaver that’s good will incorporate some sort of comb system. The way this comb system works is it prepares the hair for cutting by lifting it gently from the surface of the skin. Once the hair is lifted up, it can be easily trimmed by the razor blade. If your electric shaver does not have this feature, you won’t be getting as close a shave as you might otherwise get.

Another feature to look for in a good electric shaver is one that has an adjustable razor head. This razor head will allow the razor heads to follow the contours of your jawline. This makes a pretty big difference in the quality of your shave. Typically, Philips electric shavers that are 50 or more dollars incorporate this technology. But if you can afford an electric razor that has this shaver, consider buying it to get a closer and more comfortable shave.

There are also various kinds of razor blades to choose from to. The cheap Philips electric shavers will use regular steel blades; the more expensive razors, however, will utilize titanium razor blades. Titanium blades stay sharper for much longer because it’s a harder metal. Keep in mind though that only the flagship models will offer you titanium razor blades.

You don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for a good razor – if you buy one from an online website, you can save a significant amount of money.

The Philips Norelco Electric razor is a fantastic piece of engineering. I’ve been using this device for a few months now and by far it’s the best shaving experience I’ve yet had.

Now, when I first charged up this machine for the first time, I was pretty sceptical because there were no controls to adjust the razor’s sensitivity. Some razors have a switch you can adjust for either sensitive or normal skin. It was astounded that this device lacked that control. But once I actually used it to shave, it was by far the fasted and most comfortable shave I’ve had the pleasure of having. Now, I don’t know why this razor gave such a good, smooth shave, but I’m not complaining.

The razor gave a pretty close shave. It wasn’t 100%, but it’s probably the best shave I’ve yet had with an electric razor. To get a closer shave, you’d need to use a straight edge razor.

Now, I’ve always had a problem trying to shave under my chin. I find most razors really irritate this area. Perhaps the skin is more sensitive there or something. I was a bit scared because all the razors in the past have given me a nasty itching rash there right after shaving. However, the Philips Norelco Electric razor did no such there. I shaved this area and didn’t get the expected irritation that other razors in the past have giving me.

There are quite a few razors in Philip’s Norelco line-up. However, the actual razors are the same technology. The only difference is the features. The more expensive ones have different color schemes, automatic razor cleaners, extra LED lights, built in moisturizer creams, etc). These feature are great, but you don’t really need them. If you’ve got the money, sure invest in them, but they won’t break or make your shave.  I will say that my razor came with the automatic cleaning system – and this is one feature I love. You basically put in a cleaning solution that will last for a couple weeks. You doc your razor on the special Jet Cleaner, hit a button and the razor is automatically cleaned each day. It’s actually kind of fun to watch.

Now, if you are looking at buying an electric razor, you are going to be bombarded with different prices. I suggest you look at making your purchase online since you can get a better deal than if you buy the Phillips Norelco electric razors from a retail store.

Before you buy any Philips electric razors, there are some things to consider first. Getting an electric razor can be a pretty big investment. Not only do you need to spend a lot of money, but you are spending money on something you will be using on a daily basis. So why not make sure you get the best electric razor for your needs?

There are plenty of brands out there. The most popular brand on the market is Philips. You can practically see their line of different razor models hogging the electric razor shelves in pretty much any department store you visit.

Now, the last thing you want to do is just picking out a random razor. For one, you are going to get a razor that’s not comfortable. And two, you may end up paying too much for a razor. And three, you just might buy a razor with features you don’t really need, or features you need but that the razor does not have.

So it’s important to think about what features you want in a razor.

Now, by far the most important criteria when selecting your Philips electric razor is to buy one that’s comfortable to use. If you find your razor is not comfortable, you likely won’t ever use it or you will endure uncomfortable shaves every single day. You want to avoid this.

Many Philips razors have special contour-hugging razor heads. These heads basically can flex back and forth. This flexibility allows them to follow the shape of your jaw when you shave. In short, they make shaving much more comfortable than it would be otherwise.

Another important feature is to get a razor that actually gets as close as a shave as possible. Most people who don’t like electric razors complain that they don’t shave as close as blade razors. This used to be true a few years ago, but new electric razor technology now enables electric razors to match the shave that you would get from a blade razor.

Unfortunately, this technology is typically found only in the top end flagship razors. SO if you are looking to spend 40 dollars on a cheap electric razor that will match the close shave of a blade razor, you may find yourself disappointed. If you buy one of the flagship models though (typically 150 to 200 dollars), you should get a shave that even your barber would be proud of.
